"Poetry and science use language to get to the essence of ideals"

   -- Helena Kennedy

The wonder of science and poetry is they break through boundaries, both biological and intellectual. At Worldcon this year, programming hopes to focus on those boundaries through both poetry and science tracks. Our poetry track will be led by Juan Manuel Perez (www.juanmperez.com) the poet Laureate for the San Antonio Poets Association and Rhysling Poetry nominee. In addition, with the event of the Rhysling Award ceremony happening at our convention there will be a large group of folks who are both scientist and poets, who can blend both tracks together, giving voice to the genre we all love!

There will be speculative poetry workshops, and open microphone readings -- once we have the details figured out we will post them here.

In the meantime, please send us your ideals on panels that blend the two tracks. Programming would love to hear from you. Please write to us at poet@LoneStarCon3.org.
